Fantastic weekend for the races!! And if your over 2yrs old a pony ride too :) Over 200 pony rides this weekend, good job we took Four ponies :)

Had a great day with the animals, with hundreds of visitors to the farm.

CARTOON NETWORK SHOOT

Had a great time shooting a new music video for Cartoon Network this week in London. 30 rabbits and 10 chicks featured as part of an easter themed vid. Easter is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MICE IN SELFRIDGES!!!

Roel de Boer - Dutch artist had an exhibition at Selfridges this week, in which we featured our mice.

DISNEY RE-LAUNCH BAMBI DVD

Disney launched the new bambi DVD at BFI Southbank today. The Animal Company took rabbits and loads of children got the chance to stroke and pet them. Even got a free copy :) Thanks Disney...

CAMEL TRAINING DAY

Had a great day training the camels today. Dubia News also visited in the morning to film a feature, then BBC radio Derby in the afternoon carried out an interview which will go out Thursday 1pm to 4pm. The camels are now kooshing and taking a saddle!! Yesssss...:)

Reindeer visit a local racecourse for the opening of their Christmas Grotto.

CREEPY CRAWLY EVENTS

This year we attended over 9 events over the Halloween weekend, snakes, spiders, rats and other creepy animals featured.

Mulberry Photoshoot

Today Charlotte and Ben took Sally and her Piglets to London for a photo shoot for handbag brand Mulberry. The magazine advert will be released in January.

The piglets performed very well once they settled in.

TESCO PHOTO SHOOT FOR SPRING COLLECTION

HORSE AND CARRIAGE IN MUSIC VIDEO

Last week we hired our horse and carriage for use in a new music video. The shoot went well and the production company were very happy with the end result. Hope the song does well :)

SHEEP VISIT SELFRIDGES (LONDON)

On Sunday our sheep visited Selfridges in London for a shopping trip. Selfridges have just launched a new knitwear/wool range so I guess they wanted to check it out :)

DUCK HIRE BBC

Our ducks had a fantastic time this week being filmed by the BBC. They got to swim in a massive pond. They did come back which was much to my suprise........ :)

TOYOTA Eco Day 2010

What a turn out!!

Over 3000 staff and friends turned out for the Toyota eco day. The animals were great and lapped up the attention.

Leo Shines in London Photoshoot

Leo the horse was fantastic this week during a one hour photo shoot. Put together by a top international brand the images will be released in the next month.

Had a great time training ourmels this week. Well on target for riding in December.

BGC CHARITY EVENT - LONDON

This Monday we supplied animals for the BGC Charity event at Barclays HQ, Canary Wharf. Loads of top celebs came out to support the charity, and most importantly plenty of children, who especially enjoyed the range of animals. We had a unicorn, white rabbits, white goats, an owl and doves.

I must admit, it was weird even for me to walk a unicorn through the large offices!!

Last year over 10ml was raised, I can't wait to see this years result.

HUSKY HIRE LONDON - LIVE EVENT

Husky hire in London. The Animal Company supplied Two huskies for a live event in Regents Park, London.

The event was a great success and the Huskies enjoyed lots of attention.

OUR DAY OUT KICKS OFF

Reindeer

Reindeer are looking great, antlers are nearly grown back and winter coats are off. Looking forward to the season. Only Two weekend dates left though.

Filming Started

New Micro Pigs Arrive

Our top sow has just had 7 little micro piglets. She has done a really great job of maing a nest area and feeding them.

Tonight the animal company features on Countrywise. The programme features most of the animals here on the farm, from pigs to camels. Should be interesting............

Blue Lights Event

The annual blue lights event held at Aintree was a huge success. The animals were well cared for by Sean, who provided stabling and feed throughout the event. Thank-you to all the staff at Aintree for looking after us so well. Alison & Emily (Animalco)

London Event - Festival

The animals had a great time, and met some interesting people! 2000 children through the enclosure throughout the day.

ACTA - - Membership granted

The Animal Company are no members of the animal trainers ass ACTA.

Now we are a horse riding establishment we can offer pony and donkey rides to our clients.

Chelmsford

Just finished cleaning all equipment from the festival, over 6000 children through the petting farm in three days.

Girl Guides Event 100 Years

Girl Guide event celebrating 100 years. Animals enjoyed themselves, and we had to check they didn't pinch the rabbits :)

Park Event Attracts Interest

Animals in the park attracted much interest this weekend. Among the animals were alpaca's, pigs, sheep, ponies, calfs, turkeys, goats and chickens. Around 800 visitors over a four hour period. The staff at the mini farm had a great time and so did the children which is the most important thing... oh!! and frank (pig) had a great sunbathing session!!!

CAMEL TRAINING

Alison & I are training the camels to be riden. Today we have walked them and backed them for the very first time. It's gone really well :)

New Pony Arrives 13.1 cob

Sally arrived at the weekend. She is a 13.1 cob, and is perfect for giving pony rides.

Anderson-Dixon Sponsor Farm Bus

Anderson-Dixon Estate Agents in Burton on Trent have sponsored the new farm bus, the bus is set to visit schools from December 2010.

Its a Leyland Atlantean, former service bus from Liveprool and will be adapted to carry animals for display to children.

The Royal Agricultural College - Farm Animals

Today we are supplying a farm to one of the most highly regarded agricultural organisations. Our animals will be on display for students all day (4 hrs).

Racecourse Petting Farm

Yesterdays petting farm in Newmarket included sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, alpaca's, a calf and a pony. This is one of the largest we do, yesterday we had around 2000 visitors to the farm which is great.

Brailsford Golf Club - Animal Hire

Supplied a petting farm today to Brailsford Golf club. The animals were in great form, shame about the weather but hey!! That's life.

Donated 6 tickets for Doncaster Races to the cancer charity raffle. It must have meant to be, because the guy that won grew up in Doncaster and is really looking forward to going!!

Anyway, now looking forward to Four petting farms out tomorrow and Three the day after....

NEW ARRIVAL - PATRICK

Patrick the donkey arrived at the farm this Sunday. He will live with Ruby (Donkey) and become part of the Nativity displays in 2011. He is very friendly and even likes the sheep!!!

Kensington & Chelsea Petting Farm

This weekend the animals have been to St Peters Church in Kensington and to a private function in Liverpool. The animals taken included lambs, goats, micro pigs, chicks and rabbits. Over 300 children attended the Kensigton event, most having never seen animals before. The event went very well, and it has been confirmed we will be attending next year.

Camel Training

This week we have been filming at Gate Farm. Mainly focusing n the camels, training and handling. ITV were very pleased with the result and this should air next week. Nathan, Rhys and Alison were all interviewed.

New Reindeer Arrive

Six new reindeer arrive at Gate Farm taking the herd up to 14. A new stock bull, which hopefully will serve our females. The others will undergo training for Christmas 2011.

Gate Farm

The Animal Company have moved into new premises in Ashbourne. The facilities are ideal for filming, photography and viewing our animals. The reindeer have a great big paddock, which includes a hill and wooded area. The camels have their own paddock too. All the animals have settled in great and all the team here are looking forward to a great 2010.....

Camels Arrive

Just arrived home last Sunday with 4 amazing camels. Three golden and one white, these guys are so friendly and i can't wait to ride one to the shop for a pint of milk!!
